KENNESAW — Kennesaw State University is expecting more than 600 people to attend this week’s Career Training Expo.
The College of Continuing and Professional Education at KSU has held the bi-annual career expo for the past five years. The event, which takes place once in January and a second time in July each year, will be Thursday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the KSU Center, 3333 Busbee Drive.
Barbara Calhoun, the college’s dean, said it started the expo so students could personally check out the 45-plus programs such as paralegal, human resources management and medical certifications.
The school will be introducing six new programs as well, including social media marketing, health coaching and Android app development.
“It’s a career expo in that we provide training to help people get jobs or train for careers,” Calhoun said.
