Kennesaw State to host Elementary School Math Bowl
KENNESAW, Ga. (April 1, 2013) — Kennesaw State University and the Cobb County School District present the third annual Elementary School Math Bowl. Educators want to get students excited about the challenges and beauty of math.
The math competition at Kennesaw State is part of the Teacher Quality Partnership between the University and the Cobb school district. About 160 students will solve word and number problems in a competition designed to challenge and inspire them. The students will also receive a tour of campus.
Cobb County students in the third, fourth and fifth grade from LaBelle, Hollydale, Fair Oaks, Milford and Birney elementary schools will visit the Kennesaw State campus to compete in teams and as individuals.
Friday, April 5. Students compete from 9 a.m. to 9:45 and 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
Lunch and a tour of the campus follow.
Closing ceremony and awards will be from 12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m.

Competition will be in Kennesaw Hall (Rooms 1103, 1104, 1105, 1106, 1107, 1302, 2001 and 2101).
Closing ceremony and awards will be in the Social Sciences Building, Room 1021.
