Kennesaw State hosting May meeting of Georgia State Advisory Panel for Special Education

Thirty minutes allocated on the agenda for public input

KENNESAW, Ga. (April 29, 2013) — Kennesaw State University will host the May meeting of the Georgia State Advisory Panel for Special Education. Public input is invited.

The State Advisory Panel for Special Education (SAP) advises the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) Divisions for Special Education Services and Supports on the provision of special education and related services for students with disabilities. The SAP is comprised of parents, persons with disabilities, educators and administrators, as well as representatives from public and private agencies. This diverse group of stakeholders assists the divisions in addressing a variety of special education issues and topics.

Here are the guidelines for public input:

  • Thirty minutes will be allocated on the agenda for public input

 

  • Additional time may be added at the discretion of the chair

 

  • Public comment may be oral, in person, by phone call or in written form to be read by the chair

 

  • Public comment is limited to no more than five minutes per person
