Student Success and Enrollment Services (SSES) works in close collaboration with the offices of Academic Affairs to provide students with opportunities to participate in University life and to enhance the University environment. SSES, through Student Enrichment, is responsible for nonacademic aspects of university life, as well as student development. SSES also houses the offices committed to smooth and successful entry into and out of KSU: Admissions, the Registrar, Financial Aid, and Counseling & Advising Program Services (CAPS).
Under the umbrella of SSES, the Department of Student Life is responsible for all registered student organizations, student media, intramural sports, Greek life, and student programming at KSU.
The KSU First Year Experience represents initiatives specifically designed for incoming freshmen to support and promote student success. Composed of seminars and learning communities, it has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the best First-Year Experience Programs in the nation for five years in a row.
The Student Recreation & Wellness Center is a 45,000 square foot facility providing students with a variety of recreational activities that promote campus involvement, fitness, social interaction, and healthy competition within a safe environment.
