KSU has partnered with Zimride to provide students with the same safe, reliable, and convenient professional rideshare program that many top universities successfully utilize around the country! Kennesaw State Zimride is a fun and easy way to share rides out of town or coordinate your daily commute. Zimride uses Facebook integration to make it easy for you to find and share a ride with a friend or fellow Kennesaw State classmate.
It's simple. Have a car? Add your ride offer and split the costs by driving with friends and classmates. Need a ride? Add your ride request and get to where you want to go. Just register for a free account and post where you’re coming from and when. Kennesaw State Zimride will help you find others making similar trips. Add your ride today:
Join your fellow students in helping build the Kennesaw State Zimride community.
Once your rideshares are established, be sure to visit Card Services on the 2nd floor of the Student Center and register as a carpooler and receive a carpool decal. You will then be able to park in reserved carpool spaces. Don't forget that only one person needs to opt-in to parking - everyone else can opt-out of parking to save the individual parking permit fees -- just share the cost of the one parking permit fee amongst all riders and save!
What is Zimride?
For too long we have driven our cars with empty seats. Zimride is a simple way to find friends, classmates and coworkers going the same way you are. Combining social networks and our proprietary route-matching algorithm, we’ve made it easy to share the seats in your car or catch a ride. Zimride empowers you to create social, sustainable and convenient transportation. Together we can get anywhere.
It's simple! Zimriding is a fun way to get where you need to go. Connect with friends, reduce your carbon footprint and save money.
Why does it work?
By focusing on college, university and corporate communities, we are able to build the critical mass of users necessary to sustain Zimride as a reliable form of transportation. Our approach leverages social trust and hands-on marketing efforts to deliver significant savings for schools and corporations of various sizes and commute profiles.
What’s Zimride got to do with Facebook?
We embrace ridesharing as a social activity and Facebook provides a rich social context to connect and establish trust. Zimriders can view profiles for common networks, interests and friends before deciding to share a ride. The Zimride community has also greatly benefited from a recent Facebook (fbFund) grant, recognizing Zimride’s useful and innovative integration with their platform.
