King-Casey Women’s Leadership Experience

Women—who represent the majority of students on KSU’s campus—have a different, but equally effective, way of leading. The King-Casey Women’s Leadership Experience helps empower the next generation of female leaders.

This semester-long experience is designed specifically to foster women’s leadership through connection, collaboration, and service in an open, encouraging platform. Named for Drs. Nancy King and Rebecca Casey, the program celebrates the diverse leadership styles of these and other extraordinary women.

A personality inventory reveals each student’s strengths and serves as the basis to explore her unique leadership style. Students are partnered with a mentor, benefiting from the wisdom of a distinguished woman in the KSU community who is committed to her development.

Through mini workshops and speakers, participants build confidence and gain practical strategies in a variety of areas, including:

  • Conflict resolution
  • Money management
  • Negotiating skills
  • Networking acumen
  • Personal self defense

Stop by our Student Lounges in Room 172 of the Student Center, or our new location in Room 6000 of the University Village, to explore the opportunities that await you.
