Digital Learning Revolution Tour raises awareness for mobile technology in classrooms

Kennesaw State University student Travis Allen, founder and president of the iSchool Initiative, a student-led, nonprofit dedicated to revolutionizing the education system through mobile technology, hosted a kick-off event Sunday, June 17, at Stone Mountain Park, to launch iSchool’s nationwide Digital Learning Revolution Tour. The bus is wrapped in flashy signage that includes a prominent display of the KSU logo.

The 22-city bus tour will raise awareness for iSchool’s mission, which is to inspire and educate students on how to become lifelong digital learners in the Information Age. Through the tour, iSchool Initiative plans to reach more than 7,000 educators. “This tour will be a catalyst to spark change all over the country,” says Allen. “We hope to bring confidence about new technologies to teachers hungry to capitalize on a paradigm shift in the way new generations learn.” Cities include Dallas, Denver, Omaha, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York and Washington, D.C.
