Kennesaw State Athletics announces Superior Plumbing sponsorship
Official Plumbing Partner signs multi-year pact
KENNESAW, Ga. (Jan. 27, 2014) – The Kennesaw State University Department of Athletics and Superior Plumbing Services, Inc., announced today a multi-year sponsorship agreement. Superior Plumbing's investment will provide significant support to KSU's Department of Athletics and its student-athletes, as the school prepares for its inaugural football season in 2015.
"We are proud to have Superior Plumbing as a partner," said Kennesaw State President Daniel S. Papp. “Their commitment to the community has made a tremendous impact and we value their support of Kennesaw State University and our athletics department.”
Under the terms of the arrangement, Superior Plumbing will contribute $1.5 million over 10 years and will receive naming rights to the Loge Section in Fifth Third Bank Stadium. Additionally, Superior Plumbing becomes the “Official Plumber of KSU Athletics” and will have signage at the KSU Convocation Center, Bailey Park and Stillwell Stadium, advertising in game programs, during television and radio broadcasts and on KSUOwls.com, the Department of Athletics' official website.
"I am truly excited to enter into this partnership with Kennesaw State Athletics. It is my belief that it is imperative to support higher education and sports by investing in our community’s future leaders," said Jay Cunningham, president and owner of Superior Plumbing. “I challenge other businesses within our community to step up to the plate in supporting great institutions like Kennesaw State. It’s a winning proposition for everyone.”
Superior Plumbing is the third multi-million dollar sponsor that Kennesaw State has partnered with and the second in the last week. The university and Department of Athletics announced a deal with Fifth Third Bank last February that included naming rights to Fifth Third Bank Stadium and a sponsorship with WellStar Health System on Jan. 21.
"Jay Cunningham and his team at Superior Plumbing are true servant leaders in this community. They give back to the community in which they live and work and love supporting academics and athletics,” Kennesaw State Director of Athletics Vaughn Williams said. “I am truly excited to have Jay and Superior Plumbing as proud sponsors of Kennesaw State Athletics and look forward to a long relationship."
